BLS Provider courses are offered to ECPI University students each term. To attend a BLS Provider (CPR) course, students must register in advance on the American Heart Association website.

To Register for CPR
Click this link https://atlas.heart.org/home to open the AHA Atlas website. Enter “ECPI University, 1001 Omni Blvd, Newport News VA”. in the search bar and select “Search”.
In the left-side menu, change “Search By:” from Location to Organization/ID. Type in ECPI and select the Newport News campus. Click the red “Filters” box.
In the left window scroll down to the “Class Date” dropdown window. Choose “Select Date Range” from the drop-down menu and enter a range of dates. Click Apply. The campus locator will appear on the map with a number. Click the campus locator icon and all the available classes for the date range you selected will appear in the left-side menu. Choose the class date you wish to attend. Confirm that it is an ECPI University class at the Newport News campus and click “Enroll Now“
When completing the AHA registration form, make sure to enter your name as you want it to appear on your certificate. You MUST use your ECPI e-mail address, not your personal e-mail address. If you use your personal email address, your reservation will be rejected.
Once your reservation is complete you will receive e-mail verification from American Heart.
Following course completion, you will receive your CPR certificate via email from American Heart. Please save and forward a copy of your certificate to your Program Director.
